The grandson of a German
immigrant who was a Master Sharpener in Europe before continuing
that trade in this country. Howard's earliest memories and
desires were to be a Master Sharpener like his Grandfather.
Listening carefully to his instruction and practicing what he
had learned, it became essentially, a European apprenticeship.
As an
adult Howard became a cabinet and furniture maker and certainly
kept his own tools sharp, plus those that others brought for him
to sharpen.
Howard
currently sharpens for restaurants, hospitals, and catering
kitchens as well as numerous households, as time permits.
