Who Are We?

We are men and women from all walks of life. Our ages, our backgrounds, and our ethnicity are all diverse.

Edgemaster Mobile Sharpening was started by Jon A. Holmquist.  A friend of his Howard L. Voth helped him create a Knife Sharpener that would prove to be the stalwart of Edgemaster Mobile Sharpening.  While witnessing Jon's success, Howard began his own knife sharpening journey.

The team slowly grew over the last year, as the idea of franchising this concept grew and grew.  In June of 2008, Edgemaster Mobile Franchising took on the services of FRANCORP, the sharpest minds out there for helping franchise your business ideas.

After jumping the legal hoops, cutting through the governmental red tape, and hiring staff, Edgemaster Franchising, Inc. was born.  Our mission statement states:  "Edgemaster Franchising Inc. is committed to attracting knife sharpeners with a great sense of customer service and a high standard of workmanship.  To enhance the lives of our team through support, knowledge, and our collective capabilities, promoting the ability of our team to enhance the quality of their lives through self-employment."

As our team grows, we look forward to the opportunity to get to know each and every one of our sharpeners, not just as franchisees, but as friends, colleagues, and partners.
